Verse 15
"Lord Krishna blew his conch shell named Paanchajanya and Arjuna blew his named Devadattam.
Bhima, the doer of great (or terryfying) deeds, blew his grand conch shell named Paundram."

pA-nca-ja-nyam hRe-SHI-kaE-shaH daE-va-da-ttam dha-nam-jayaH| pau-NDram da-dhmau ma-hA-sha-n~kham bhI-ma ka-rmA vRe-kO-da-raH ||15||
Analysis:
Some Meanings:
Hrishikesha means one who conquered His senses. Paanchajanyam literally means born
of five(pancha = five; Paancha = of five; janya = born). Probably refers to the five
senses or the five elements.
Devadattam means given by gods.
Dananjaya means one who conquered money (wealth) But a slight twist in spelling will
transform the word Dhana to Dhanus which means a bow. So Dhanujaya might refer to one
who conquered the Gandiva bow from Lord Shiva. I am not sure of this later.
Vrikodara (Vrika + udara ) means one who has a stomach like a Vrikam, wolf. Some one
told me that a wolf eats a lot but can go with out food for long time between meals. Also the wolf has a slim belly.
