Verse 27

"After seeing all his kinsman present Arjuna became overwhelmed
with compassion and then stricken by grief spoke thus :"
Transliteration:
tA-nsa-mI-xya sa kau-ntaE-yaH
sa-rvA-nbha-ndhU-na-va-sti-tAn
kRe-pa-yA pa-ra-yA-vi-SHTaH
vi-SHI-da-nni-da-ma-bra-vIt || 27||
Analysis:
This verse is probably the harbinger of some of the most important verses that constitutes essence of Bhagavad Gita. In some way this verse embodies the "action" that leads to the "response" by Krishna (which is the essence of the words of the Lord). The action on the part of Arjuna is that "he became overwhelmed with compassion".
