Verse 39-40
"But O Lord Janardana! (Unlike the Kauravas), we know the evil effects of the deterioration
of the dignity of dynasty and family traditions very well.
Why is it that we do not understand that we should withdraw from actions that cause such sins? "
"If the dynasty system deteriorates, the righteous laws of dynasties that have
been followed from yore will begin to be degenerate. Oh Lord Krishna!
When such righteousness is gradually lost, families will tread a wrongful, lawless path in life."
